L&T Technology Services (LTTS) has entered into a strategic partnership with Cognite to develop and deliver Industrial AI, data and engineering solutions for asset-intensive industries, strengthening its Engineering Intelligence portfolio.
The collaboration brings together LTTS’ expertise in engineering, manufacturing operations and asset lifecycle management with Cognite’s Industrial AI and data capabilities. The companies will jointly develop industry-specific solutions for sectors including Oil & Gas, Chemicals, LNG, CPG/FMCG, Mining and Industrial Manufacturing.
As part of the partnership, LTTS has established a dedicated Cognite Center of Excellence and certified more than 50 engineers on Cognite’s technologies. The initiative is intended to build specialised capabilities and accelerate the adoption of Industrial AI across enterprise environments.
The partnership will focus on applications such as AI-powered industrial workflows, digital twins, predictive maintenance and operational intelligence platforms. The companies aim to help asset-intensive organisations move beyond individual AI experiments towards scalable deployments integrated with their operational processes.
The companies have already commenced their first joint project with a global top-ten oil and gas company. The engagement involves converting a manual mechanical-integrity process into a contextualised digital workflow designed to help engineers improve efficiency, identify potential risks more quickly and reduce the likelihood of operational downtime and safety incidents.
The collaboration also extends LTTS’ Engineering Intelligence approach through the integration of Cognite’s Industrial AI capabilities with its EIOne platform. This is expected to support the development of solutions tailored to complex industrial use cases while addressing requirements around productivity, asset performance, operational resilience and business value.

He added that the partnership would focus on delivering measurable outcomes for joint customers as AI becomes increasingly integrated into modern industrial operations.
