Aeron Systems secures pre-series B funding to drive growth and global expansion

Aeron Systems has successfully raised Rs 45 crore in Pre-Series B funding, jointly led by Riverwalk Holdings and MGF-Kavachh (MountTech Growth Fund).

The investment marks a significant milestone in Aeron Systems’ growth journey and will support the company in scaling manufacturing capabilities, accelerating research and development, meeting growing customer demand and expanding into international markets.

The funding also reflects increasing investor confidence in India’s ability to develop globally competitive technologies for the aerospace and defence sectors through indigenous innovation and advanced engineering capabilities.

Ashvani Shukla, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Aeron Systems, said the investment marks an important phase in the company’s growth and will support its vision of building globally competitive technologies from India while contributing to the country’s strategic and technological self-reliance.

Abhijeet Bokil, Co-founder and Managing Director, Aeron Systems, highlighted the role of the investment in supporting the company’s international expansion while strengthening its manufacturing capabilities and taking its sensing and navigation technologies to global customers.

Commenting on the investment, Air Chief Marshal (Retd.) R.K.S. Bhadauria, Chairman, Strategy & Oversight Board, MGF-Kavachh, said Aeron has developed indigenous capabilities across aerospace sensing and navigation, supported by strong engineering expertise and execution. He added that the investment reflects confidence in the company’s technology and leadership.

Raj Sethia, Founder & Managing Partner, MGF-Kavachh, described Aeron as a sovereign-technology company with the potential to strengthen India’s strategic technology ecosystem, citing its differentiated technologies and strong foundation for future growth.

Abhishek Singh, Principal, Riverwalk Holdings, highlighted Aeron’s 18-year journey and its positioning at the intersection of two major technology opportunities: inertial navigation for GPS-denied, spoofed and jammed environments, and intelligent utility-scale solar solutions combining hardware and software. He also highlighted the company’s global ambitions and its efforts to further integrate both technology stacks.

The investment comes amid growing global demand for advanced aerospace and defence technologies capable of operating reliably in increasingly complex and contested environments. The growing prevalence of electronic warfare and disruption of satellite navigation signals is increasing the need for precision, resilience and reliable sensing and navigation technologies.

Founded with a vision to develop globally competitive electronics, advanced sensor fusion and AI-driven technologies from India, Aeron Systems has built an indigenous portfolio spanning inertial navigation systems, air data computers, weather and environmental sensing solutions, flight test instrumentation, avionics and resilient Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT) technologies.

Its technologies support a wide range of platforms and applications, including aircraft, helicopters, unmanned platforms, missiles, armoured vehicles and naval platforms, serving the defence, aerospace and research sectors.

Aeron Systems’ technologies are used by leading Indian organisations including Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), the Indian Army and the Indian Navy.

With the latest funding, Aeron Systems aims to further strengthen its manufacturing and technology capabilities while accelerating product innovation, customer expansion and international growth, reinforcing its position as an Indian deep-tech company serving critical aerospace and defence applications.
