Augury opens Bengaluru Engineering Hub to expand industrial AI capabilities

Augury has expanded its presence in India with a new engineering hub in Bengaluru, strengthening its investment in technical talent, research and development and applied artificial intelligence for the manufacturing sector.

The Bengaluru centre will contribute to Augury’s global engineering and technology organisation and focus on advancing the agentic capabilities of its Industrial AI Workforce, which comprises role-based AI agents designed to support reliability, maintenance and operations teams in manufacturing environments.

The new facility complements Augury’s existing technology hubs in the United States and Israel. The company said the expansion builds on its $75 million funding round in 2025, which is supporting product development and international growth. Augury has partnered with SecondHQ to establish the Bengaluru centre.

Anoop Mohan, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Augury, said India is an important part of the company’s long-term investment in engineering and Industrial AI. He added that the Bengaluru team will combine technical expertise with industrial knowledge to develop AI capabilities aimed at delivering practical outcomes for manufacturers worldwide.

Augury’s Industrial AI platform is built on more than 15 years of machine-monitoring experience and brings together machine data, operational context and knowledge from plant teams. The company uses this information to create an industrial context graph that helps AI agents make grounded, reliable recommendations and take action in manufacturing environments.

The company currently works with more than 800 plants across six continents, including businesses in food and beverage, consumer packaged goods and other asset-intensive industries.

Ganesh Iyer, Senior Director of Engineering and India Site Leader, Augury, said trust is a critical factor in deploying AI on factory floors. He noted that the Bengaluru centre will combine engineering capabilities with industrial domain expertise to develop AI agents that operators can use in their day-to-day operations.

Dilip Sawhney, Managing Director, Rockwell Automation India, welcomed Augury’s decision to establish its engineering centre in Bengaluru, noting that the expansion could create additional opportunities for collaboration between the companies in connecting Industrial AI insights with maintenance execution.

Sanjeev Gupta, CEO, Karnataka Digital Economy Mission, said Bengaluru’s engineering and R&D ecosystem provides the talent and technology capabilities needed to support global innovation. Abhilash Raghavan, CEO, SecondHQ, said the centre reflects India’s growing role as a strategic base for engineering, AI and innovation.

The Bengaluru expansion follows Augury’s launch of its Industrial AI Workforce in May and represents another step in the company’s efforts to bring AI into physical industrial environments. Augury said successful adoption in manufacturing depends not only on advanced AI models but also on reliable data, industrial context and the trust of plant teams.
