Procol has announced that it is helping manufacturing enterprises streamline procurement through autonomous AI execution and connected workflows. The company works with more than 150 manufacturing businesses across 10+ countries, including Havells, Emami, Jindal, Blue Star, Somany Ceramics and Aditya Birla Group.
Across its customer base, Procol has enabled efficiency gains of more than 50 per cent, procurement cycles that are up to 80 per cent faster and cost savings of up to 10 per cent. The company says these improvements are helping businesses enhance productivity and strengthen spend management.
Manufacturing procurement involves managing high-volume purchases across plants, categories, suppliers and internal teams. Manual supplier follow-ups, fragmented systems, extended approval processes and limited spending visibility can create delays across the purchasing process. According to Procol, the challenge often lies in the connections between individual procurement activities, where requisitions can remain pending for budget checks, supplier clarifications can take days and approvals can be delayed.
Procol’s AI-led procurement platform automates activities across the source-to-pay cycle, including requests for quotations (RFQs), requests for proposals (RFPs), electronic auctions, supplier onboarding, approvals and accounts payable. The platform connects with existing enterprise systems such as SAP and Oracle through two-way, real-time data synchronisation, allowing enterprises to automate procurement workflows without replacing their existing systems of record.
The company’s implementations have helped buyers save more than 8,100 hours of manual effort. By connecting activities across the procurement lifecycle and automating repetitive tasks, Procol aims to help procurement teams improve workflow visibility and coordination while focusing on higher-value priorities.
Gaurav Baheti, CEO and Co-founder, Procol, said, “Manufacturing procurement operates at the intersection of cost, production continuity and supplier performance. When purchasing processes rely heavily on manual coordination, fragmented systems and multiple layers of approval, delays can affect productivity across the business. At Procol, we are helping enterprises move beyond digitising workflows towards autonomous execution across the procurement lifecycle. Our implementations have demonstrated a 75% reduction in procurement cycle time, highlighting how AI agents can improve operational efficiency while enabling procurement teams to focus more on strategic sourcing, supplier relationships and cost optimisation.”
Procol currently manages more than $30 billion in spend and has generated over $1 billion in savings across its customer base. For manufacturers operating procurement across multiple plants, the platform focuses on standardising purchasing processes while working with the systems already in use, bringing AI-led execution into existing procurement environments.
