Devnagri AI expands from translation platform to enterprise language intelligence infrastructure

Devnagri AI has announced its evolution from a translation and localisation platform into an integrated language intelligence layer for enterprise AI adoption. The platform supports 22 Indian languages, more than 40 international languages and 5,000 dialects, enabling enterprises across banking, NBFCs, insurance, fintech, government and other sectors to integrate multilingual capabilities into their operations.

Rather than limiting language capabilities to content translation and display, Devnagri AI integrates language intelligence into existing enterprise workflows, covering customer-facing journeys as well as day-to-day operations. Its portfolio includes AI-powered translation and transliteration, speech recognition, text-to-speech, OCR, document intelligence, website and application localisation, and multilingual voice and conversational AI.

These capabilities are designed to support customer communication, document processing, digital experiences and workflow automation. The platform can also be deployed across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments, allowing enterprises to evaluate and integrate language AI within their existing technology and security architectures.

Nakul Kundra, Co-founder, Devnagri AI, said, “Communication is for the receiver, and it only works when businesses speak to their audience in a way that connects. When an enterprise makes the extra effort to engage people in their own language, it builds receptiveness, loyalty and trust, and that helps brands capture volumes and scale their business. India is our core market, but language barriers are not unique to India. Over time, we see opportunities to extend our language intelligence to other linguistically diverse regions, including the GCC, Southeast Asia and Africa, and to help enterprises worldwide expand access to AI-powered services.”

Founded in 2021 by entrepreneurs Nakul Kundra and Himanshu Sharma, Devnagri AI began with a focus on translation and localisation, based on the belief that technology in a linguistically diverse country needs to work in the user’s language. The company has since expanded this offering into a language intelligence platform that enables enterprises to integrate multilingual capabilities into workflows and make digital services, documents and customer interactions more accessible across languages.

Himanshu Sharma, Co-founder and CEO, Devnagri AI, said, “Enterprise AI will only work for people when it speaks their language, and that has to be built into the workflow, not added on top. Many people are not comfortable doing their banking or filling in forms in English, and they should not have to be. When language becomes part of the infrastructure, every form, document and call feels local, accurate and compliant. We want to add smiles to people’s faces.”

Devnagri AI describes its offering as multilingual language intelligence infrastructure aimed at helping businesses and institutions overcome language barriers and deliver accessible, contextual and scalable digital experiences. The company is focused on moving enterprises beyond conventional translation towards multilingual workflows that account for linguistic context, domain-specific terminology and cultural nuances.
