Cloudflare has launched the AEO Visibility Dashboard, the latest addition to its Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) Suite, giving website owners visibility into how AI assistants are recommending their businesses when users ask relevant questions.
The dashboard is designed to show whether brands are being cited, mentioned or overlooked by AI assistants. It complements Cloudflare’s existing Agent Readiness tool, which checks whether AI agents can find and access a website.
Cloudflare said AI assistants are increasingly becoming a discovery channel for consumers, while brands have lacked a clear equivalent of traditional search rankings to understand their position in AI-generated recommendations.
The AEO Visibility Dashboard uses network-layer signals, including actual crawl and referral activity observed through Cloudflare’s infrastructure, rather than relying only on test prompts sent to AI chatbots.
The dashboard provides several measures to help marketers assess their visibility. Citation Rate shows which AI platforms are using a brand’s website as a source, while Mention Rate indicates whether AI assistants name a brand even when they do not cite its website.
Prominence measures how much of an AI-generated answer is attributed to a brand and where the brand appears in the response. Share of Voice enables brands to compare their position with competitors across questions relevant to their customers.
According to Cloudflare, these measures can help marketers identify whether the challenge lies in content visibility, brand authority or competitive positioning when appearing in AI-generated responses.
Stephanie Cohen, Chief Strategy Officer, Cloudflare, said that discoverability can no longer be measured only through traditional search rankings, as recommendations made through AI assistants are increasingly influencing how consumers discover businesses.
Cloudflare said the AEO Suite is built around giving website owners greater visibility into how their content is being used while allowing them to control what they choose to share.
The AEO Visibility Dashboard works alongside Agent Readiness, which evaluates whether AI systems can reach and use a website, including access permissions, sitemaps, structured content and interfaces for advanced use cases. The new dashboard focuses on what happens after that access, measuring whether AI systems are actually recommending the brand.
