Utho Cloud has announced its commitment to deploy 10,000 GPUs over the next seven to eight quarters as part of its long-term plan to build India’s sovereign AI compute backbone.
The investment will cover NVIDIA’s enterprise-grade GPU portfolio, including the H200, H100, A100, RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell and L4. The company said the infrastructure will enable businesses, startups, researchers and public sector organisations to access high-performance AI computing hosted entirely within India.
According to the company, the expanded GPU portfolio will provide guaranteed GPU availability without long waiting periods or auction-based pricing. The infrastructure has been designed to offer sovereign AI compute, ensuring that customer data and AI model training remain within the customer’s chosen jurisdiction while allowing them to retain ownership of their intellectual property.
Utho Cloud said the platform will offer transparent and predictable pricing that is up to 60 per cent lower than traditional hyperscaler GPU rates. It will also support workloads ranging from single-model inference to large-scale distributed AI training, along with 24×7 human support for mission-critical production AI workloads.
The company, which serves more than 51,000 users, said its cloud infrastructure provides data residency in India and complies with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.

He said the expansion will provide guaranteed GPU availability without extended wait times, sovereign AI compute with customer data and model training hosted within their chosen jurisdictions, transparent pricing and the flexibility to support AI workloads ranging from inference to large-scale model training.
He added that by combining complete data residency, compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act and cost-efficient AI infrastructure, the company aims to remove barriers to high-performance AI computing and support India’s ambition of becoming a global AI powerhouse.
The company said the announcement comes at a time when enterprises across the world are facing challenges related to GPU shortages, rising costs and longer procurement timelines. It added that its sovereign AI platform is designed to offer pricing in Indian Rupees, complete data residency and enterprise-grade AI infrastructure deployed within India.
