Enlight Metals launches AI-enabled 24-hour steel procurement platform

Enlight Metals has launched India’s first AI-enabled 24-hour metal procurement and delivery model, enabling manufacturers to procure ready-stock steel within 24 hours through an artificial intelligence-powered platform.

The platform is designed to address procurement challenges such as fragmented communication, manual coordination and lengthy approval cycles by analysing supplier availability, inventory levels, pricing, logistics readiness and regional demand in real time. This allows manufacturers to make faster sourcing decisions while improving supply chain visibility.

According to the company, the AI-powered system has reduced end-to-end transaction processing time by 75 per cent, increased daily order handling capacity by 10 times without expanding administrative headcount and consistently maintained its 24-hour delivery commitment for ready-stock steel.

Enlight Metals said its platform has also reduced inventory carrying costs by more than 30 per cent through AI-driven demand forecasting and supplier matching. Manual administrative effort has fallen by over 60 per cent, while supplier discovery and price matching have improved by 80 per cent. The company also reported a 98.5 per cent success rate in meeting its 24-hour delivery commitment and improved order processing accuracy to 99.4 per cent.

The AI-enabled procurement model is currently supporting manufacturers across the automotive, renewable energy, engineering, infrastructure, industrial equipment and electrical sectors.

Dhananjay Goel, Managing Director, Enlight Metals, said, “Manufacturing has embraced AI on the factory floor, but procurement has largely remained dependent on manual processes and delayed decision-making. Our AI-enabled 24-hour delivery model enables manufacturers to move from reactive sourcing to predictive procurement, helping them reduce delays, optimise working capital and build more resilient supply chains.”

The company said it plans to further strengthen its AI capabilities through predictive sourcing and deeper enterprise integration to help manufacturers anticipate demand, automate replenishment and build more resilient supply chains.
