Melento and Gnani AI to power voice driven workflows for BFSI and insurance

Melento (formerly SignDesk) has teamed up with Gnani AI, a frontier AI company, to bring voice-enabled AI agents to enterprise customers across global markets.

The exploration will focus on combining Gnani AI’s Voice AI capabilities with Melento’s agentic AI orchestration approach to enable a new generation of agentic AI workflows that can listen to customers, understand context, make decisions and take action across enterprise processes.

Unlike conversational AI systems designed primarily to answer questions, the focus of the collaboration is on agentic voice experiences — where the voice call becomes an interface through which AI agents execute tasks and drive outcomes inside enterprise processes. In practice, that means moving from a scripted IVR to an AI call agent that can complete work, not just respond.

As enterprises move beyond experimentation with generative AI, the next opportunity is increasingly about connecting intelligence with action.

For Melento, this means expanding the role of AI agents beyond text-based interactions and evaluating voice as a core interface for AI agent automation — one that can shorten cycle times, cut manual effort and cost, and improve compliance and auditability, especially in regulated industries.

“Voice is one of the most natural interfaces for human interaction, but enterprise voice automation requires much more than simply converting speech to text and generating a response,” said Krupesh Bhat, Founder & CEO, Melento.

He added, “The real opportunity is to build an AI voice calling agent that can hear, understand the context, reason about what needs to happen and then execute securely inside the enterprise. Our collaboration with Gnani AI is about evaluating what becomes possible when frontier voice intelligence meets enterprise-grade agentic AI orchestration.”

Gnani AI brings proprietary speech and language models designed for real-world enterprise voice environments. Its technology stack spans Speech-to-Text (STT), text-to-speech, speech-to-speech and language models. Gnani AI’s technology is deployed across more than 200 enterprises globally and processes more than 30 million voice interactions daily.

Ganesh Gopalan, CEO and Co-founder, Gnani AI, said, “Enterprise voice is moving beyond scripted conversations towards systems that can understand intent, reason through complexity and take action. Our focus at Gnani AI has always been on building Voice AI for the realities of enterprise environments — multiple languages, accents, noisy telephony and sensitive customer interactions. Exploring how this voice intelligence can work with Melento’s agentic orchestration capabilities opens up interesting possibilities for enterprises looking to automate voice-led workflows at scale.”

The collaboration will explore use cases across customer experience (CX) and employee experience (EX). On the CX side: voice-led onboarding and KYC completed with e-sign and e-stamp for BFSI and insurance, agentic onboarding and zero-ops banking journeys, contract negotiation and renewal conversations that update Melento’s CLM in real time, and voice-driven collections calls with compliant document follow-up.

On the EX side: voice-based employee onboarding and policy acknowledgment completed with e-sign, and voice-triggered internal approvals for procurement, HR and expense workflows.

Because these are live enterprise conversations, the agents are designed to detect intent and real-time sentiment as they act — so a Voice User Interface (VUI) becomes a first-class enterprise interface rather than a front-end script.

The opportunity is particularly relevant for regulated and multilingual enterprises — including BFSI, insurance, pharma and legal — where voice interactions can involve sensitive information, regional languages, authentication requirements and complex workflows.

For Melento, the collaboration with Gnani AI forms part of a broader effort to give enterprises practical, low-disruption ways to benefit from agentic AI.

Rather than requiring enterprises to redesign every workflow around AI, the objective is to let intelligent agents work within existing business processes, systems and channels — using Melento’s agentic AI orchestration framework and its wider set of business automation tools — while maintaining the governance, security and control required for enterprise deployment.
