Utho hosts first builder community meetup to drive collaboration

Utho has hosted the first in-person meetup of its Utho Builder’s Community in Noida, bringing together technology professionals for discussions around artificial intelligence, cloud infrastructure, data engineering and emerging development practices.

The Utho Builder’s Community Premiere brought together more than 80 developers, founders, architects, engineers and technology leaders. The meetup was designed as a practitioner-focused forum where participants could exchange experiences, discuss technology challenges and understand how teams are approaching real-world product development and deployment.

The event featured Dr Bhupinder Rajput, Founder of Technical Guftgu; Sandeep Rawat, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of OpsTree; Shashank Vaishnav, Chief Technology Officer of STAGE; and Monika Rajput, CNCF Ambassador and KubeCon keynote speaker, working in Data and AI Engineering at AHEAD.

Discussions focused on the practical decisions technology teams face as AI and cloud infrastructure become increasingly important to product development. Topics included managing infrastructure costs, designing scalable systems, making engineering trade-offs and moving AI projects from experimentation to dependable deployment.

Artificial intelligence emerged as a key theme during the sessions. Shashank Vaishnav highlighted the importance for startups and technology teams to adopt AI effectively, while Dr Bhupinder Rajput emphasised the need for high-quality AI learning to help Indian technology professionals build stronger capabilities around the technology.

Sandeep Rawat and Monika Rajput also shared perspectives on engineering leadership, cloud-native technologies, code deployment practices and data and AI engineering. The sessions were structured to encourage direct interaction, with participants engaging speakers through questions, polls, quizzes and networking discussions.

Utho said the community initiative reflects its broader focus on helping India’s technology ecosystem develop the knowledge and capabilities required to make independent technology decisions. The company views sovereignty as extending beyond data location to include the skills, knowledge and communities that enable builders to innovate with greater confidence.

The inaugural meetup marks the first phase of the Utho Builder’s Community, with the company planning a second edition. Utho also intends to develop the initiative into an ongoing community platform through future meetups, knowledge-sharing sessions and opportunities for members to participate as speakers.

Utho is an Indian sovereign cloud infrastructure company headquartered in Noida, providing cloud compute, storage, networking and GPU infrastructure for AI workloads. The company said its infrastructure is designed to support data hosting in India and compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, while offering transparent rupee-based billing.
