Infosys has announced an expanded multi-year collaboration with GlobalFoundries (GF), a leading semiconductor manufacturer, to accelerate the AI-driven transformation of its IT operations. Under the engagement, Infosys will manage GF’s end-to-end application, infrastructure, data and service desk operations, helping the company transition to a managed services model powered by AI, automation and continuous optimisation.
Commenting about this, Vishal Mehra, Chief Information Officer, GF, said the renewed collaboration will support the company’s efforts to modernise IT operations, improve efficiency, resilience and user experience, while advancing its broader digital transformation agenda.
Anand Swaminathan, EVP and Global Industry Leader, Communications, Media & Technology, Infosys, added that the partnership will combine Infosys’ semiconductor expertise, AI capabilities and outcome-based operating model to reduce incidents, enhance end-user experiences and lower total cost of ownership. He added that the collaboration will help GF move from reactive IT management towards predictive and autonomous service delivery.
