Mirror Security has announced the appointment of Albert (Al) Sisto as an Independent Board Member.
Sisto brings more than 40 years of experience across public companies, startups, venture capital, and private equity, and is widely regarded as one of the foundational figures in enterprise security software. As the former Chief Operating Officer at RSA Data Security Inc., he played a pivotal role in transforming the organisation from a passive patent licensing operation into a dynamic, sales-driven software company that helped secure the foundations of global digital commerce. His career has since spanned leadership roles as a Technology General Manager and Venture Investor, consistently identifying and scaling category-defining technology companies.
Mirror Security is a research-driven cybersecurity company spun out of University College Dublin, Ireland. The company offers a production-ready Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) engine optimised for AI workloads, enabling advanced cryptographic controls.
Currently, when enterprises query large language models, their proprietary data is processed in plaintext, making it visible, extractable, and vulnerable to distillation. Similarly, when frontier models serve inference, outputs can be harvested and used to train competing models at minimal cost, leading to bidirectional intelligence leakage.
Mirror Security addresses this challenge by enabling AI computation on encrypted data that never decrypts, referred to as “encryption in use”, thereby securing inference, memory, and the entire AI pipeline end-to-end.
