Ishan Technologies to invest Rs 300 crore in AI-ready infrastructure

Ishan Technologies has announced a Rs 300 crore investment roadmap aimed at expanding its AI-ready digital infrastructure across India. The investment will focus on strengthening connectivity, sovereign cloud, cybersecurity and platform-based services, with deeper penetration across metros as well as Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities.

The company said the investment will support its transition from traditional telecom services to a unified, platform-led digital infrastructure model. This approach brings together data networks, cloud interconnect, MPLS, secure access service edge (SASE) and bandwidth-on-demand under a single integrated framework, enabling enterprises and public institutions to operate secure, scalable and software-defined digital environments.

As adoption of artificial intelligence, cloud interconnectivity and stronger data governance accelerates across India, Ishan aims to position itself as a national platform provider offering improved resilience, transparency and operational efficiency for mission-critical digital workloads.

People continue to play a central role in the company’s growth strategy. Ishan currently employs over 2,000 professionals across engineering, network operations, cloud, cybersecurity and managed services, and plans to expand its workforce by around 20 per cent over the next 24 months, with a focus on strengthening regional talent pools.

Pinkesh Kotecha, Chairman and Managing Director, Ishan Technologies, said the company’s focus is on building adaptive and resilient digital infrastructure as networks move towards software-driven models and sovereign cloud becomes increasingly essential. He added that investments in AI-led network optimisation, intelligent automation and customer experience solutions are aimed at making infrastructure more responsive to real business needs.

Founded in 2000, Ishan Technologies has evolved from a regional internet service provider into a national technology partner operating across more than 100 locations. The company operates owned fibre networks, holds a National Long Distance licence, and runs edge points of presence, carrier-grade platforms and Rated 3 data centre capabilities.

Ishan is empanelled with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology as a cloud service provider, follows CMMI Level 3-certified delivery processes assessed by KPMG, and is also empanelled under the IndiaAI initiative as a digital infrastructure provider serving enterprises, governments and institutions nationwide.

With experience in delivering large-scale, mission-critical digital projects across sectors such as government, aviation and BFSI, the company said its strategy aligns closely with India’s focus on digital sovereignty, secure infrastructure and trusted domestic technology platforms.

Headquartered in Gujarat, Ishan sees the state emerging as a major hub for AI, digital infrastructure and data-driven industries in the coming decade. Looking ahead, the company is targeting a tenfold scale-up over the next three to four years as it shifts from execution-led growth to platform excellence, while maintaining a strong focus on reliability, customer experience and trust.
