QNu Labs has validated the real-world performance of its ARMOS Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) platform through an independent global study in collaboration with VIAVI Solutions.
The study demonstrated secure key generation over distances of up to 200 km on standard telecom fibre, maintaining error rates below 4% and confirming the platform’s readiness for enterprise and critical infrastructure deployment.
At metro distances of around 50 km, ARMOS achieved up to 8,000 secure bits per second, while sustaining performance even at extended ranges, highlighting its reliability across diverse network conditions.
A key breakthrough was its ability to operate seamlessly alongside 10 Gbps classical data traffic on the same fibre without any performance degradation, eliminating the need for network redesign.
The platform also showcased strong resilience by automatically recovering from simulated fibre disruptions and maintaining stable operations under real-world conditions.
