TCS partners with AMD to accelerate enterprise AI adoption

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced a strategic collaboration with global semiconductor major AMD to help enterprises move from AI experimentation to large-scale, production-ready deployments.

The partnership is focused on driving innovation across generative AI, hybrid cloud, edge computing and high-performance computing, enabling organisations to unlock greater value from AI investments.

Under the collaboration, TCS and AMD will co-develop industry-specific AI and GenAI solutions by combining TCS’ deep domain expertise, global systems integration capabilities and innovation ecosystem with AMD’s high-performance computing and AI product portfolio. Together, the companies aim to support enterprises in modernising legacy infrastructure, building secure digital workplaces and accelerating innovation across cloud-to-edge environments.

As part of the engagement, TCS will upskill and certify its workforce on advanced AMD hardware and software platforms. Both companies plan to jointly invest in talent development to build a strong pool of AI and computing specialists who can co-create and deliver next-generation solutions for global clients.

The collaboration will also focus on developing industry-specific GenAI frameworks for key sectors. These include life sciences applications such as drug discovery, manufacturing use cases like cognitive quality engineering and smart factories, and BFSI solutions covering intelligent risk management. In addition, the partnership will deliver customised accelerators, frameworks and best practices to improve AI performance across training and inference workloads.

K. Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, TCS, said the collaboration represents a major step toward scaling AI adoption in enterprises. He noted that by bringing together TCS’ industry expertise and AMD’s computing capabilities, organisations can move beyond pilots to enterprise-wide AI deployment while modernising hybrid cloud and edge environments.

Dr. Lisa Su, Chair and CEO, AMD, said AI adoption is accelerating globally and requires high-performance, open computing platforms combined with strong industry partnerships. She added that AMD’s collaboration with TCS will help customers convert AI innovation into tangible growth opportunities across sectors.

From a technology standpoint, TCS will work with AMD to integrate Ryzen CPU-powered client solutions for digital workplace transformation, while leveraging AMD EPYC CPUs, Instinct GPUs and AI accelerators to modernise hybrid cloud and high-performance computing environments. AMD’s embedded computing portfolio, including adaptive SoCs and FPGAs, will further support edge innovation, inference workloads and industrial digitalisation.

With TCS’ proven expertise in building customised solutions using advanced semiconductor technologies and AMD’s cutting-edge platforms, the partnership aims to create a strong foundation for co-innovation. The jointly developed solutions are expected to help enterprises adapt faster to the AI era and build future-ready, intelligent operations.
