Eventus Security has called for Security Operations Centres (SOCs) to move beyond alert monitoring towards decision-centric security operations as enterprises face increasingly complex digital environments, fragmented security tools and rising alert volumes.
The company made the case at the CyBe AI Summit 2026, held at the NIMHANS Convention Centre in Bengaluru on September 4, where it participated as the AI SOC Partner. During the session, “From Data to Decisions: Architecting an AI-driven SOC,” Shriram Prabakaran, Regional Sales Head – South India, and Malcolm Rafter Pinto, Technical Lead – R&D at Eventus Security, discussed how AI can help enterprises reduce operational noise, identify relevant threat patterns and prioritise incidents requiring immediate attention.
“Modern SOCs do not have a shortage of data. The real challenge is converting that data into context and actionable decisions quickly enough to contain a threat. AI can help security teams correlate signals, prioritise risk and accelerate response, but its value is realised only when it works alongside experienced analysts, well-defined processes and appropriate human oversight,” said Shriram Prabakaran, Regional Sales Head – South India, Eventus Security.
The discussion highlighted the importance of connecting security data, workflows and response mechanisms instead of continuously adding standalone security tools. According to Eventus Security, an integrated approach can help reduce alert fatigue, improve investigation efficiency and enable security teams to make more confident response decisions.
Malcolm Rafter Pinto said an effective AI-driven SOC requires a strong data foundation, with security signals from different tools normalised, enriched and correlated with business context before automation is applied.
“AI adds the greatest value when it helps analysts cut through noise, investigate faster and focus on the threats that matter most,” said Pinto.
Eventus Security also showcased an integrated security operations approach combining threat detection, behavioural analytics, contextual threat intelligence and automated response workflows. The objective is to help security teams identify threats earlier, investigate incidents more efficiently and respond with greater speed and consistency.
The company stressed that AI should augment security analysts rather than replace human judgement. While automation can accelerate correlation, investigation and response, experienced professionals remain important for interpreting business context and handling complex incidents.
