Blue Cloud Softech partners GCIB and Afro Mobile to advance Africa’s digital infrastructure

Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Agreement with the Global Council for Investment and Business for Africa and Afro Mobile SARL to identify, structure, finance and develop telecommunications and digital infrastructure initiatives across Africa.

The agreement establishes a collaborative framework focused on expanding connectivity and advancing digital transformation across the continent. The partnership will explore projects covering national fibre-optic backbone networks, 4G and 5G mobile infrastructure, international connectivity, submarine cable landing stations and internet exchange points.

The scope also includes telecommunications towers, passive infrastructure, digital public infrastructure, digital identity, national interoperability, e-government platforms, digital payment systems and satellite connectivity solutions, including VSAT and Low Earth Orbit services for remote and emergency communications.

Under the partnership, Blue Cloud Softech Solutions will serve as the Lead Technology and Digital Transformation Partner. The company will be responsible for technology solution design and deployment, platform architecture, systems integration and technology transfer. It will also lead technical coordination, financial structuring and financing coordination for projects developed under the framework.

The Global Council for Investment and Business for Africa will function as the Strategic Development and Investment Partner, focusing on government and institutional engagement while mobilising international investors and financing partners.

Afro Mobile SARL will act as the Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructure Partner, supporting sector engagement, relationships with telecom operators and regulators, local partnerships and capacity-building initiatives.

The partners intend to develop sustainable commercial models focused on generating recurring revenues. Individual projects may be structured through Special Purpose Vehicles, joint ventures or consortium arrangements, depending on the specific requirements of each initiative.

A Joint Steering Committee will oversee governance and coordination across the partnership. The Memorandum of Agreement has been established for an initial term of five years, while specific projects and commercial arrangements will be developed through separate project-level agreements.

Chandrashekar Mudraganam, Chief Executive Officer, Blue Cloud Softech Solutions Limited, said, “Africa’s digital transformation is one of the defining infrastructure opportunities of this decade. This partnership brings together GCIB’s investment and institutional reach, Afro Mobile’s telecommunications presence in West Africa and Blue Cloud’s technology depth across AI, cloud, cybersecurity and telecom.”

He added that the partnership aims to develop bankable projects that can expand connectivity and strengthen digital public infrastructure across Africa.

The strategic collaboration supports Blue Cloud Softech Solutions’ broader international growth ambitions across artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, cloud, digital infrastructure, healthcare technology and telecommunications.
