DATOMS has raised Rs 25 crore (approximately USD 2.76 million) in a Series A funding round led by Vietnam-based investment firm Big Capital JSC.
The round also saw participation from IvyCap Ventures and a follow-on investment from YourNest Venture Capital, as the company scales its enterprise platform across asset-intensive industries.
Founded in 2021 by Amiya Samantaray, Asish Sahoo, Nataraj Sahoo, and Amrit Biswal, DATOMS builds a unified intelligence layer that converts physical machines into connected, trackable assets throughout their lifecycle. Its platform enables enterprises and OEMs to monitor machines in real time, predict failures, optimise energy consumption, and streamline service operations.
The company addresses a persistent challenge in industrial ecosystems where machine data is fragmented across manufacturers, enterprises, service partners, dealers, and financiers. By consolidating this data into a single operational intelligence layer, DATOMS aims to shift organisations from reactive operations to predictive and performance-driven decision-making.
The fresh capital will be used to strengthen product and technology capabilities, enhance AI and analytics features, expand into new markets, and build teams across engineering, data science, operations, and enterprise sales. The company also plans to accelerate development of predictive maintenance, performance optimisation, and energy management solutions.
DATOMS operates at the intersection of Industrial IoT, energy technology, and enterprise SaaS, targeting the global connected machines and industrial digitalisation market estimated at $18 billion. Its platform is currently deployed across quick commerce dark stores, logistics warehouses, healthcare facilities such as MRI and CT scan rooms, and heavy industries including cement, steel, mining, and manufacturing.
Over the past year, the company has more than doubled its revenue and now monitors over 25,000 machines globally, with a target of scaling to 1 lakh connected machines within a year. With offices in Bhubaneswar and Bengaluru, DATOMS serves over 100 customers worldwide and aims to expand both across India and internationally over the next three years.
