With a remarkable track record spanning over two decades, Commander Varun Gupta has been elevated to Director at PwC India, bringing with him unparalleled expertise in cybersecurity, information security, and digital transformation across both public and private sectors.
Prior to joining PwC, Varun served in the Indian Navy for over 20 years, where he led complex ICT and cybersecurity operations, managed critical digital infrastructure across geographies, and spearheaded several high-impact technology initiatives—including a ₹3,500 Cr nationwide fiber network and a ₹62 Cr Naval Telemedicine project.
Since joining PwC India in 2023, Varun has contributed significantly as Associate Director – Risk Advisory | Cybersecurity, leveraging his deep technical and strategic acumen to enhance cloud security, cyber resilience, and risk management for leading organizations.
In his new role as Director, Varun will continue to drive cybersecurity strategy and digital risk consulting for PwC’s clients, helping businesses navigate evolving threats and strengthen their security posture in an increasingly digital world.
